We have a special focus in the following areas: Mood Disorder, Developmental Disorders, Autistic Spectrum Disorders, Panic Disorder, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Children and Adolescents, Group and Family Therapy, Attention Deficit Disorder in Children and Adults.
We are not a specialists in Substance Abuse or Eating Disorders – both of which require very specific expertise and treatment parameters. However, we do treat people with Substance Abuse or Eating Disorders when these problems arise in the context of another Psychiatric Disorder. For example, a patient who develops Depression, Anxiety, or Paranoia in the context of Alcohol or Marijuana Abuse or a patient who develops symptoms of Anorexia or Bulimia during an episode of Major Depression. If not, we will be able to give you a referral to a highly qualified psychiatrist or psychologist who does offer the treatment you need.

We are Medical Doctors trained in Psychiatry, Licensed and Board Certified by American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, Board Certified Nurse Practitioners, and Licensed Clinical Psychotherapists.
This is an important concern in entering treatment. We take great care to ensure that information you share with us is kept confidential. There are important limitations to confidentiality, such as when keeping it would threaten your own or someone else’s life. This is described in more detail in our privacy policy.
If for any reason you can not make your scheduled appointment, please notify us 24 hrs prior to your scheduled appointment at no charge to you. If you are late in notifying the office and we are unable to fill your appointment time or we are unable to reschedule for another time that same business week, you will be responsible for the full fee of your session. Since insurance does not reimburse for missed sessions, this fee will include the amount usually reimbursed by insurance. There is no charge for cancellations due to real life emergencies
We are participating providers in many insurance networks. Our office staff will be able to answer your questions about your specific medical plan. We have sliding scale payment plan for patients without insurance and for patients with insurance we do not accept. We verify your insurance and collect deductible, coinsurance and co payments prior to your visit. Ultimately, you are the responsible party to pay the bill if for any reason your insurance refuses the payment.

Our office is located at 38 Winthrop Place, Staten Island NY 10314, off Victory Blvd in between Manor Road and Slosson Ave ; exit 12 on Staten Island Expressway.
Usually we collect all insurance information and demographic data on the phone prior to your appointment. Please , bring your insurance card and photo identification with you. You are also responsible to obtain authorization from your insurance company for treatment. If you have been in treatment before, you can have your mental health records transferred to us by sending a release of information form to your previous places of treatment. Bring a list of current medications prescribed to you by other physicians, over the counter medications, vitamins and supplements. If you had a recent physical exam and blood work done, we would like you to bring the copies with you. For a child, having problems in school/day care, please bring child’s recent IEP, teacher’s notes and communications from child care providers.
