Dr. Katz is a Board Certified Psychiatrist with over 15 years of experience in diagnosing and treating adults, children and adolescents. Dr. Katz has completed Specialty Training in Developmental Psychiatry at Maimonides Developmental Center where she later worked as a Staff Psychiatrist. She also supervised a team of clinical social workers, staff psychiatrists and psychiatric residents in training for a patient population of developmentally disabled adults and adolescents with concomitant psychiatric conditions at Richmond University Medical Center, Staten Island, New York. Dr. Katz has maintained a private practice on Staten Island since 2000. She is a recipient of several awards, including “Patients Choice Award ” 2007-2010
Dr. Beskina received her undergraduate degree in Psychology at Columbia University where her interest in Psychiatry emerged. She went on to attend New York College of Osteopathic Medicine where she completed her medical education. She completed her Residency Training in Psychiatry and later a Child Psychiatry Fellowship at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. Dr. Beskina is published in the Journal of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Dr. Beskina has expertise in diagnosing and treating a range of mental health issues and psychiatric conditions in children , adolescents, and adults. She takes a person-centered approach and uses an approach that is consistent with best practices in the field of Psychiatry.
Dr. Beskina is Board Certified in Adult Psychiatry by American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
